| WEST POINT, PA. -- October 25, 1999 -- Results of a
new study published this month in the journal Gastroenterology show
that osteoarthritis patients taking Vioxx® (rofecoxib) developed
significantly fewer endoscopic ulcers than patients taking ibuprofen, a
commonly used arthritis medicine.
